This workshop is for anyone who would like to explore or deepen a meditative approach to yoga practice.
Raja Yoga sheds light on human consciousness and its vast possibilities, the tendency to encounter suffering as well as our potential for joy and peace.
It embraces the idea that a human being can suspend all of their past and all their conditioning, allowing the true self
to prevail over egoic experiences prompted by fear and desire.
How can we take all this with us onto the mat? How can we restore the bridge between the metaphysical assumptions of yoga and its psychophysical techniques?
When we discover the subtle relationship between body, breath and mind, we open our eyes to the vastness that we are, in which we are immersed. But this is not an intellectual understanding: it is a “suspension”, a gateway to a new perception of ourselves and the world.
Through listening and an observation-based meditative approach, we will practice asanas, pranayama, mudra and all of the effective tools yoga offers.
Each yoga session will end in the sitting position, in stillness and silence.
The work on the mat will be supported by lectures, dialogues and free time to enjoy all Mandali’s treats. Walks in the beautiful surroundings will balance the time spent inside the premises.
